Is the campsite open all year round?
The campsite is open from 1 April to 31 October.
Camping pitches are open from 1 May to 30 September.
Is there Wi-Fi at the campsite?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available at the reception area.
Are services available throughout the whole season?
The bread delivery service, food trucks and activities are organised in July and August.
A reception desk is open throughout the entire opening period.
Do you offer facilities for people with reduced mobility (PRM)?
Yes, a dedicated PRM-accessible sanitary facility is available at the campsite.
Is there stroller access to the beach?
Yes, a direct and adapted access allows you to reach the beach with a stroller.
Is there a campsite map available?
Yes, a campsite map is available on our website.
It is provided for guidance only: a pitch or rental from the booked category will be assigned upon arrival.
☀️ Life at Pors Ar Vag Campsite
What are the general rules of the campsite?
Any booking implies acceptance of the campsite rules and conditions.
The rules are displayed at the reception and must be respected by all guests. In case of non-compliance, management reserves the right to ask a guest to leave without prior notice.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome at the campsite, provided a few rules are respected: they must be kept on a leash, never left alone, and are not allowed in the sanitary facilities.
In rental accommodation, one dog (maximum 20 kg) or two small dogs are accepted, with an up-to-date vaccination record. Category 1 and 2 dogs are not permitted.
Are visitors allowed?
Yes, visitors are allowed provided that reception is informed upon arrival.
They must pay the applicable visitor fee.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access if necessary.
Are unaccompanied minors allowed?
No. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Bookings for unaccompanied minors are not accepted.
Are groups allowed?
Yes, under certain conditions. Depending on the period and the composition of the group, restrictions may apply.

Can I charge an electric vehicle at the campsite?
Yes, the campsite is now equipped with an electric vehicle charging station.
Charging electric vehicles using rental accommodation sockets or pitch electrical outlets is strictly prohibited for safety reasons (risk of overheating and lack of insurance coverage).
Can vehicles circulate freely within the campsite?
Vehicle circulation is limited to ensure the safety and peace of all guests.
Please drive at walking speed and avoid unnecessary movements in the evening.
Is there a laundry facility at the campsite?
Yes, a laundry room is available with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Tokens are sold at €6 each, detergent included.
To avoid damaging the machines, only the detergent provided with the tokens may be used.
How does waste sorting work?
The campsite provides:
a yellow container for paper and cardboard,
a glass recycling bin,
a composting station for organic waste.
Thank you for respecting waste sorting to help protect the environment.
Are barbecues allowed?
Yes, free-standing barbecues are allowed outside accommodation units, subject to current regulations.
Barbecues are not provided by the campsite.
Are ground fires, firecrackers or fireworks allowed?
No, they are strictly prohibited within the campsite.
💰 Bookings & payment
When should I book my holiday?
As early as possible! Booking in advance gives you a wider choice of accommodation and camping pitches, especially during peak season.
How can I make a reservation?
You can book directly online via our secure booking platform, where you can choose your options and pay your deposit.

When do I need to pay for my stay?
For rental accommodation: a 35% deposit is required at the time of booking.
For camping pitches: a €40 deposit is required at the time of booking.
The balance of your stay and the tourist tax are payable upon arrival.
How can I be sure my booking is confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once it has been validated by our reservations team.
For online bookings, a confirmation email is sent within 48 hours (please remember to check your spam folder).
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards, ANCV holiday vouchers, bank cheques, bank transfers, cash payments and VACAF payments.
Do you accept ANCV holiday vouchers?
Yes, ANCV holiday vouchers are accepted to pay for all or part of your stay.
Can I pay by bank cheque?
Yes. Cheques must be made payable to Camping de Pors Ar Vag.
Please write your booking reference number on the back of the cheque before sending it to the following address:

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes, cash payments are accepted.
Does the campsite accept VACAF benefits?
Yes. To book using VACAF benefits, simply provide us with your CAF beneficiary number.
🏕️ Accomodations
What is the size of the camping pitches?
Our pitches are approximately 100 m², allowing you to comfortably set up a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Do babies count as a guest?
Yes. For insurance reasons, a baby counts as a guest.
Accommodation designed for 4 people cannot accommodate a fifth person, including a baby.
Are the rental accommodations non-smoking?
Yes, all rental accommodations are strictly non-smoking.
Thank you for respecting this rule for everyone’s comfort.
What equipment is provided in the rental accommodations?
Each rental includes:
a fully equipped kitchen (crockery, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker),
pillows and blankets,
a terrace and outdoor furniture.
Bed linen, towels and cleaning products are not provided.
What should I bring for my holiday?
All our accommodations are equipped with crockery, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, pillows and blankets.
You must bring: bed linen, pillowcases, towels, cleaning products and, if desired, a bath mat.
How do security deposits work?
A €270 security deposit is required upon arrival:
€200 for the accommodation,
€70 to cover cleanliness at departure.
If the accommodation is not left clean, the €70 cleaning deposit will be retained.
The deposit does not limit your responsibility in the event of significant damage.
✅ Arrivals & departures
What time can I arrive?
Camping pitches: from 12:00 noon.
Rental accommodation: from 4:00 pm.
What time do I need to leave my pitch or rental accommodation?
Camping pitches: before 12:00 noon.
Rental accommodation: before 10:00 am.
Can I arrive on a day other than Saturday?
Camping pitches: arrival and departure days are flexible throughout the season.
Rental accommodation:
High season: arrivals and departures on Saturdays only.
Low season: flexible arrival and departure days.
What happens in case of late arrival or early departure?
No reduction will be granted in the event of late arrival or early departure.
If we do not hear from you, the pitch or rental accommodation will be released 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date, and the deposit will be retained.
What happens if I arrive early?
If your pitch or rental accommodation is not yet ready, you are welcome to wait on site or enjoy the surrounding area until check-in time.
What is your cancellation policy?
More than 60 days before arrival: refund of the deposit (bank charges deducted).
Between 60 and 30 days before arrival: deposit retained (35% of the stay).
Less than 30 days before arrival: 75% of the total stay is due.
If we do not hear from you, the booking will be cancelled after 24 hours of delay.
🚗 Access & transport
How can I get to the campsite without a car?
You can reach the area by train to Quimper or Châteaulin. From these stations, a bus serves Plomodiern, which is the closest stop to the campsite (about 5 km away).
The final part of the journey can be completed by taxi or by bike. However, staying with a car or a bicycle remains more comfortable.
Is the campsite accessible by bicycle?
Yes, the campsite can be reached by bike from the village of Plomodiern and via the surrounding routes.
The terrain can be slightly hilly, but access remains easy and pleasant.
Is the campsite located on a hiking trail?
Yes! Pors Ar Vag Campsite is directly bordered by the GR34, one of the most beautiful coastal walking trails in Brittany.
You can start your hikes directly from the campsite, without using a car.
What transport options are available nearby?
Local bus services serve Plomodiern and nearby towns, allowing you to reach Quimper, Châteaulin or Douarnenez, depending on the season.
Which is the nearest train station?
The nearest train stations are Châteaulin and Quimper, both connected to the bus network serving Plomodiern.
